O site Warez mais popular no mundo Mac, o Macfile saiu do ar a alguns meses. O que pouca gente sabe é o que aconteceu. Como vivem me perguntando resolvi fazer este post. O site era hospedado na Alemanha e a justiça alemã tirou o site do ar.

Last Thursday was a busy day for the Bundeskriminalamt -Federal Criminal Police of Germany as they raided 4 servers of popular warez sites hosted within their nation. The Avax network Avaxhome/Avaxsphere, GfxWorld, & Macfile, were all taken down and seized. Suspicions were verified by E-Mail from the current host of gfxworld, keyweb.de. in saying that “the website was taken down per legal order by the German authorities and we cannot give out any other details. As of this time we may not allow further hosting of this site on our servers and there is no comment as to whether or not it will be back online”.
The 4 sites in question were formerly affiliated with now defunct modestus.org, also forcibly shut down due to gfx sharing. This is the first push on non P2P sharing sites in Germany since 2007 and the reasons are speculated to be due to the regular release of fonts and the sites’ new use of Feedburner RSS pushing them far higher on Google search than the actual creators.

Este é o primeiro empurrão em rede não- P2P de compartilhamento na alemanha desde 2007 e as rasões foram especuladas para ser planejadas para a versão oficial das fontes e os sites’ novo uso do Feedburner RSS empurrando eles para mais procura no Google do que os criadores atuais.
